Patchwork Evening

Some things are worth keeping.

Settle beside a warm lamp, open the sewing basket, and give a few treasured things a little more life. Elsie brings her bedtime blanket. Mabel brings an apron stitched with her mother’s initials. By the second evening, there is a rabbit called Button and a scrap of bunting from every home.

Choose your fabrics, cover the worn spots, and find an arrangement that feels right. Patches can overlap. Sometimes a favourite colour needs to stay on top; sometimes two scraps need a little space between them. Keep the old embroidery safe, then watch the needle follow your patchwork.

One patch at a time

Drag fabric onto the cloth, or select a fabric and tap a spot. Turn a patch, move it a little, or change which layer shows. Follow the care note, cover every worn spot, and keep the stitched initials visible. Choose Stitch it together when it is ready.

Use the arrow buttons for small adjustments. With a patch focused, arrow keys move it, R turns it and Delete unpins it. Escape cancels a drag. Undo is always there while you are mending.
